About the genus · Ceropegia

Ceropegia is a genus of plants within the family Apocynaceae, native to Africa, southern Asia, and Australia. It was named by Carl Linnaeus, who first described this genus in his Genera plantarum, which appeared in 1737. Linnaeus referred to the description and picture of a plant in the Horti Malabarici as the plant for which the genus was created. More on Wikipedia ›

Cultivation

Grouped as a cactus or succulent by the genus Ceropegia, which is reliably one kind of plant (archetype table). The table holds no figure for this group, which spans too much for one minimum, and no habitat climate is derived yet; no cold floor is given, and no prose comes from the table.

Nothing derived: no habitat climate for this species, and the archetype table has no figure for its genus or family.

Climate across the habitat

No habitat climate can be derived: Native range not verified: WCVP lists Ceropegia juttae more than once and the backbone's authorship ((Dinter) Bruyns) matches neither.

Natural habitat

Native range as published by WCVP.
Openly licensed records inside the range, framed on where they fall.
NativeDistribution source did not answer.
Name not resolvedWCVP lists Ceropegia juttae more than once and the backbone's authorship ((Dinter) Bruyns) matches neither· WCVP lists this name more than once and authorship did not decide, so no range is attached and nothing is derived from records
Evidence usedNo verified native range for this name: WCVP has no entry with native status, and a checklist that only reports presence cannot tell a wild record from a garden one. The map shows 2 openly licensed records untested against any range; no map marker or climate is derived from them, and no sheet is built from them.
